Enhanced Florida CCW (Carry a Concealed Weapon) Course

Class Tuition: $150

This Enhanced CCW course lasts 6 hours, and includes Situational Awareness Training. This is a foundational component, and the first class in our 5-part Advanced Pistol Course. The normal tuition cost is $200 when attending these classes separately. However, because we feel this is a skill set every CCW holder should master, we’re offering both in our Enhanced Florida CCW Class for $150. It’s a value we’re proud to offer that will greatly reinforce not only your competence, but your confidence to carry, once you receive your CCW License. This amount also covers your range fee, as well as eye and ear protection.

As with all our classes, we limit the number of students because we only go as fast as our slowest shooter to ensure a comfortable and effective learning experience for all attendees. Classes are conducted in our Training Center at Total Impact Guns & Indoor Range. 616 North Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL 34275.

Course Description

Topics covered throughout this course include:

  • Cardinal Safety Rules and Gun Safety.

  • Range Safety.

  • Nomenclature and Operations of Various Types of Handguns.

  • Nomenclature and Operations of Various Types of Ammunition.

  • Nomenclature and Operations of Magazines for Firearms.

  • How to Properly Inspect a Weapon to Ensure it’s Clear.

  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship (Stance, Grip, Sight Alignment/Picture, Trigger Control and Follow Through).

  • Load, Reload, Emergency Reload and Tactical Reloads.

  • How to Properly Store and Handle Firearms in the House.

  • Situational Awareness

  • Shooting (Minimum 35+ Round Course of Fire with Semi-Automatic Pistol and Revolver).

  • Laws and Statutes for Concealed Carry in Florida.

For all these tactics and techniques, we won’t show you THE way, we will show you A way. It’s up to you to decide which works best for you.

What to Bring

  • Valid Drivers License for Range Access.

  • Ear and Eye Protection (provided if you don’t have).

  • Firearm (provided if you don’t have).

  • Minimum of 2 Magazines (3 is Preferable).

  • Minimum 50 Rounds of Ammunition Matching your Firearm of Choice (ammunition also available at Total Impact Guns & Range).
